Preposition Across এর ব্যবহার

Rule-1:

কোনো কিছুর একপ্রান্ত থেকে অন্যপ্রান্তে যাওয়া যেমন রাস্তা, নদী, মাঠ ইত্যাদি পার হওয়া বুঝাতে across ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Examples:

⇨ He swam ------ the river.

⇨ It is dangerous to run ------ the road.

⇨ He ran ------ the field.

⇨ We rowed ------ the river.

⇨ Lay the top stick ------ the bottom one.

⇨ She had straps fastened ------ the conduit every six feet.

⇨ He parked ------ the end of the driveway, blocking her in

Rule-2:

কোনো কিছুর সমগ্র অংশ জুড়ে বিদ্যমান থাকা অর্থে Across ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Examples:

⇨ Fortunately, there was a bridge ------ the river.

⇨ All ------ the country, voter were communicating their representatives.

⇨ He came ------ the street to meet me.

Rule-3:

কোন কিছুর বা কোন স্থানের বিপরীত পাশে থাকা বুঝাতে Across ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Examples:

⇨ That store ------ the street.

⇨ A boy that sat ------ me politely introduced himself as Jackson Klausner.

Rule-4:

 কোনো সীমার মধ্যে একস্থান থেকে অন্যস্থানে গতিশীল বা  চলমান বুঝাতে Across ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Examples:

⇨ The meteor streaked ------ the sky.

⇨ He walked ------ the room.

⇨ Could you slide that ------ the table to me, please?

Rule-5:

কোনো বিশেষ সময়ের সম্পূর্ণ অংশ তুলে ধরতে Across ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Examples:

⇨ This poetry speaks ------ the centuries.

⇨ As a regular news reader I thought I was ------ the eccentricities of the US president.
