Preposition "Under" এর ব্যবহার

Rule-1:

কোন কিছুর নিচে বা নিম্নস্থানে (অবিচ্ছিন্নভাবে) অবস্থিত বুঝাতে under বসে।

Examples:

⇨ He hid ------ the bed.

⇨ They stood ------ a tree to avoid getting wet.

⇨ He put the thermometer ------ my tongue.

⇨ She left her key ------ a mat by the front door.

⇨ He is ------ in the class.

Rule-2:

কোনো কিছুর অনুসারে কৃত কার্য বুঝাতে under ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Examples:

⇨ The accused was arrested ------ the warrant of the court.

⇨ The labourers work ------ the guidance of the foreman.

ব্যতিক্রমঃ

ঘড়িতে সময় দেখা অর্থে by বসে (ঘড়ি অনুসারে)।

Examples:

⇨ What is the time ------ your watch? 

⇨ Now it is just 12 O'clock ------ my watch.

⇨ It is,exactly 5pm ------ my watch.

⇨ Now it is ten O'clock ------ my watch.

Rule-3:

কোনো কিছু প্রক্রিয়াধীন অর্থে Under ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Examples:

⇨ The case is ------ trial.

⇨ The offer is ------ consideration.
